概述
大鳞波鱼（Rasbora paucisqualis）是马来半岛的小型波鱼。最初根据一尾据称来自马来半岛的贸易标本描述，识别与来源判断时应留意它与旧记录中其他近缘种的区别。
分布与栖息地
现有分布记录涉及柔佛、彭亨、雪兰莪、吉兰丹和登嘉楼。它并不分布于湄公河流域；那里曾被认为属于本种的鱼后来作为另一独立物种描述。
饲养环境
缸底面至少考虑 60 × 30 厘米，水温参考 22.2～25.6 °C、酸碱度 6.0～7.5、硬度 2～12 度。不能只依据“小型波鱼”的外观就把另一物种的照料细节套用过来。

Overview
Rasbora paucisqualis is a small rasbora associated with the Malay Peninsula. Its original description relied on a single aquarium-trade specimen reportedly imported from that region, making the interpretation of older locality records particularly important.
Distribution & habitat
Accepted records span several states of Peninsular Malaysia, including Johor, Pahang, Selangor, Kelantan and Terengganu. Former Mekong records do not belong to this species: those fish were subsequently described separately.
Aquarium setup
A footprint of at least 60 by 30 cm is indicated, with a temperature range of 22.2–25.6 °C, pH 6.0–7.5 and hardness of 2–12 degrees. Identification should be established before transferring detailed care assumptions from another small rasbora.
