概述
Puntigrus navjotsodhii 是婆罗洲中部的四带小型鲤科鱼，四条黑色宽带、黑色嘴唇以及活体几乎全红的腹鳍，是辨认重点。外形属于常被笼统称作“虎皮鱼”的类群，但不能把普通商业虎皮鱼直接认作本种。
分布与栖息地
已知仅来自印度尼西亚中加里曼丹省卡廷岸河和巴里托河上游。
模式系列采于清澈的丘陵小溪，水流形成浅滩与较深水潭，底质包括砂、砾和岩石，局部堆有落叶，岸边植物悬垂到水面。不同深浅区域并存，不能只按其中一个浅水点理解环境。
补充说明
本种黑带可宽达约五枚鳞片，第二、第三条向后弯；背鳍大部分为黑色，最前部及后缘在活体呈红色，腹鳍几乎全红，嘴唇为黑色。完整侧线等细节也可帮助与其他四带近亲区分。
市售虎皮类常为商业繁育个体，产地和种源不一定清楚。四条黑带只是类群共性，不能代替本种的鳍色、唇色与侧线特征核对。

Overview
Puntigrus navjotsodhii is a small four-barred cyprinid from central Borneo. Broad black bands, dark lips, and almost wholly red pelvic fins in living fish are important identification clues. Membership of the tiger-barb group does not mean that ordinary commercially bred tiger barbs belong to this species.
Distribution & habitat
It is known only from the upper Katingan and Barito drainages in Indonesia's Central Kalimantan province.
The type series came from a clear hill stream alternating between riffles and deeper pools. Sand, gravel, and rock formed the bottom, with some leaf deposits and overhanging vegetation. The coexistence of shallow and deeper sections matters when interpreting the locality.
Notes
Body bars can span about five scales, with the second and third curving backward. Much of the dorsal fin is black, while the leading portion and rear edge are red in life. Pelvic fins are nearly all red and the lips black. A complete lateral line provides another distinguishing detail.
Commercial tiger-barb stock may lack clear geographic or species provenance. Four dark bands identify a broader group, not this species by themselves; fin color, lips, and lateral-line features need to be checked together.
