概述
Nematabramis borneensis 是婆罗洲记录到的细长鲤科鱼，体侧有深色纵带。口须长于头部，是与近似种 Nematabramis alestes 区分时最直观的线索之一。
分布与栖息地
记录来自马来西亚沙巴及印度尼西亚加里曼丹，模式产地为沙巴古打毛律地区。
本属鱼可见于急流支流、水潭、湖泊及受扰动沼泽等多种环境，但这些属级记录不能全部视为本种偏好的直接证明。
补充说明
口须虽然超过头长，却不越过胸鳍基部。体形较纤细、头相对较长，背鳍有八根分枝鳍条，臀鳍约十三至十六根分枝鳍条。
同样带有深色侧线条纹的 Nematabramis alestes 口须短于头长，因此看见相似体纹后，仍应检查须长，而不要仅凭色带认种。

Overview
The slender Bornean cyprinid Nematabramis borneensis carries a dark flank stripe. Barbels longer than the head provide a particularly useful distinction from the similar Nematabramis alestes.
Distribution & habitat
Records involve Sabah in Malaysia and Kalimantan in Indonesia, with Kota Belud as the type locality.
The genus occupies diverse settings, including swift tributaries, pools, lakes, and disturbed swamps. Those group-level records do not establish every setting as a demonstrated preference of this species.
Notes
Although longer than the head, the barbels stop before passing the pectoral-fin base. A comparatively long head, slim body, eight branched dorsal rays, and approximately 13–16 branched anal rays further characterize it.
The similarly striped Nematabramis alestes has barbels shorter than its head. Stripe resemblance should therefore be followed by examination of barbel length before identification.
