概述
皮氏孟加拉鲮（Labeo pierrei）是体型很大的河流鱼，幼鱼身体褐色、尾鳍基部有深色斑。它的生活史包含明显季节性迁移，不能按小型观赏鱼理解。
分布与栖息地
原产中国南部至老挝、泰国、柬埔寨和越南的湄公河水系，以及越南同奈河，泰国昭披耶河记录尚属可能。主要栖息于主河道和较大、较深的支流。雨季初会上溯塞公、塞桑和斯雷博等河流，旱季再返回下游。
补充说明
背鳍相对不大，前部鳍条与头长的比例会随成长变化；幼鱼尾基斑和褐色体色仅是鉴别组合的一部分。

Overview
Labeo pierrei is a large river fish with a seasonal migratory life history. Juveniles are brown with a dark tail-base mark; their appearance does not suggest the scale of the adult fish.
Distribution & habitat
Known records cover the Mekong and Dong Nai systems, while occurrence in the Chao Phraya remains possible rather than confirmed. Main channels and large deep tributaries are typical. Upstream movement accompanies early rains, with a downstream return during the dry months.
Notes
The relatively small dorsal fin changes proportion as the fish grows. Juvenile body color and the tail-base mark should be combined with structural characters when identifying specimens.
