概述
高体高须鱼（Hypsibarbus pierrei）是湄公河地区的大型鲤科鱼，也是当地食用鱼。它有季节性迁移，生活方式与自然河道的连通关系密切。
分布与栖息地
分布于老挝、泰国、柬埔寨和越南的湄公河中下游，以及越南南部同奈河流域。模式产地的历史名称对应今天越南同奈省边和市附近。
旱季会出现在较大的河道，似乎偏好有岩石底质的流水环境。目前没有明确显示它能适应水库或其他人工蓄水水体的记录。
习性与混养
野外会随季节在不同河段间移动，雨水较多的月份离开旱季的大河道，前往繁殖地点。
繁殖
雨季会迁往产卵地，但具体产卵地点仍不清楚，不能据此给出可靠的缸内繁殖流程。

Overview
Hypsibarbus pierrei is a large regional food fish whose natural history includes seasonal movements through connected river systems. That migratory pattern is a central feature of its biology.
Distribution & habitat
It occurs in the middle and lower Mekong across Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, as well as southern Vietnam's Dong Nai basin. The historical type locality corresponds to the modern Bien Hoa area of Vietnam.
Large channels are used in the dry season. Rocky flowing reaches appear favored, and adaptation to reservoirs or other artificial impoundments has not been established.
Behaviour & compatibility
Wet-season movement takes the fish away from its dry-season river channels toward reproductive areas.
Breeding
The actual spawning grounds remain unknown despite evidence of seasonal reproductive movement. A practical captive breeding procedure cannot be inferred from that information alone.
Notes
Dams and agriculture affect habitats of this genus, and declines have been suggested for many members.
