概述
唇䱻（Hemibarbus labeo）是东亚河流中的鲤科鱼，成年个体身体没有明显暗色斑点，吻部较长，嘴唇发达。它会贴近河底上方成群活动，与仅偶尔到底部找食的鱼有所不同。
分布与栖息地
广泛分布于长江至黑龙江之间的东亚地区，包括中国大陆及台湾、朝鲜半岛、蒙古、俄罗斯和日本。老挝湄公河流域的记录可能来自引入，不能直接作为确定的原生范围。
偏好清澈、富氧的河流，底部可为沙、砾石、岩石或泥。成鱼常在底床上方群游，至少部分种群会进行年度繁殖迁移。
食性与喂食
野外摄食底栖甲壳动物、昆虫、软体动物及其他较大的无脊椎动物。这是偏动物性的底部取食方式，不应把它简单理解成吃藻鱼。
雌雄区分
性成熟雄鱼进入繁殖状态时，头部和鳍上会出现细小珠星。
繁殖
部分野外种群存在每年的繁殖迁移，这一现象不能直接确定具体的水族箱繁殖条件。
补充说明
较长的吻、发达而带褶皱的下唇侧叶，以及成鱼缺少体侧黑斑，可用于外形核对。

Overview
Adult Hemibarbus labeo lacks conspicuous dark body spots and has a long snout with well-developed lips. It is a river fish that regularly gathers near the bed, rather than merely visiting the bottom occasionally to feed.
Distribution & habitat
Its eastern Asian range extends between the Yangtze and Amur systems, including mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, Mongolia, Russia, and Japan. An occurrence in the Laotian Mekong may reflect introduction rather than a confirmed native population.
Clear oxygenated rivers over sand, gravel, rock, or mud are characteristic. Adults form groups immediately above the substrate, and at least some populations make yearly reproductive migrations.
Diet & feeding
Recorded wild foods include bottom-dwelling crustaceans, insects, mollusks, and other substantial invertebrates. This animal-based browsing should not be mistaken for specialist algae feeding.
Sexual dimorphism
Breeding males develop fine tubercles on the head and fins.
Breeding
Annual spawning movements occur in some wild populations. This field observation does not establish the requirements for aquarium reproduction.
Notes
The elongated snout, thick folded lower-lip lobes, and absence of adult flank spots provide useful identification features.
