概述
Garra salweenica 是萨尔温江水系的墨头鱼属鱼，体色偏褐，后半身有纵纹，钝吻上具有三叶状吻突。尾鳍上叶末端的暗斑也是辨认线索，部分个体下叶末端同样有暗色标记。
分布与栖息地
分布贯穿中国云南、缅甸及泰国西部的怒江—萨尔温江水系。模式标本来自缅甸掸邦南部 Takaw 一带。
更常见于源头及支流的快速流水段，而非大型低地河道。合适的天然栖境水清、溶氧充足，阳光与清水共同促进水下硬表面形成丰富生物膜。
补充说明
背鳍中部鳍条基部有一系列黑点，后半身纵纹和尾叶末端暗斑应与三叶吻突一起观察。墨头鱼属中不少成员外形相近，河流来源及这些细节比单独的吸盘口形更适合用于辨认。

Overview
The Salween fish Garra salweenica has a brownish body with rearward longitudinal stripes and a three-lobed projection on its blunt snout. A dark mark at the upper tail-lobe tip is another clue; some individuals also show one on the lower lobe.
Distribution & habitat
Its range follows the Salween system through Yunnan in China, Myanmar, and western Thailand. Type material came from the Takaw area of Myanmar's southern Shan region.
Fast headwater and tributary sections are favored over broad lowland channels. Clear, well-oxygenated water and sunlight support extensive growth on submerged hard surfaces.
Notes
Dark dots at the bases of the central dorsal rays complement the rear-body stripes, tail-tip marks, and three-lobed snout. Many Garra look similar, so drainage information and this combination of features are more useful than adhesive mouth shape alone.
