概述
Garra nambulica 是印度曼尼普尔邦 Nambul 河支流中的小型墨头鱼属鱼。头形近方，吻部没有明显吻突或横沟，尾鳍上有 W 形蓝黑色带，是较醒目的辨认线索。
分布与栖息地
已知来自 Nambul 河的支流溪涧，该河属于钦敦江流域。模式产地为 Singda 村附近的 Ireng Lok 溪，种名取自 Nambul 河。
补充说明
胸部和腹部裸露，但腹鳍之后的区域有鳞，因此局部无鳞不能理解为整条鱼无鳞。口下附着盘长宽接近，结合方形头部、无吻突及尾鳍色带，可与近似种进一步比较。
墨头鱼属包含许多外观相近成员，附着口部并非本种独有特征。比较吻形、腹部鳞被及尾纹，比单凭笼统商品名更有助于识别。

Overview
Garra nambulica is a small fish from tributaries of the Nambul in Manipur, India. A square-looking head, an unmodified snout without a transverse groove or proboscis, and a blue-black W-shaped tail marking provide useful recognition clues.
Distribution & habitat
It is known from Nambul tributary streams within the Chindwin basin. The type locality is Ireng Lok near Singda village. Its name refers to the Nambul River.
Notes
The chest and belly are bare, but the region behind the pelvic fins is scaled. Local absence of scales must not be mistaken for a wholly scaleless fish. The adhesive disc is almost as long as it is wide, complementing head shape, snout structure, and tail markings in comparisons with relatives.
An adhesive mouth is not unique to this species. Among similar Garra, snout form, ventral scaling, and tail pattern are more informative than a broad trade label.
