概述
Garra bispinosa 最醒目的特征是吻部方形突起，两侧末端各有一枚大而向前的尖状疣突。外形相似的墨头鱼属鱼较多，应结合吻形与鳞列辨认，而非仅看吸盘口部。
分布与栖息地
直接记录来自中国云南盈江的大盈江，属伊洛瓦底江水系。它可能像多数同属鱼一样生活在流水中，但具体微栖境不能仅靠属级习性确定。
补充说明
吻端有一道深横沟形成横向叶状结构，吻略尖，口下附着盘相对较小。侧线约三十四至三十五枚鳞，尾柄周围约十六枚鳞，可与显著吻部结构共同用于鉴别。
墨头鱼属相关类群的下唇附着结构能帮助鱼在水流中贴住表面，口缘适于刮取食物。属内存在复杂的近似种及分类关系，单一通用俗称不一定对应同一物种。

Overview
A squared snout projection distinguishes Garra bispinosa, each of its two lobes ending in a large forward-pointing tubercle. Identification should combine this structure with scale characters instead of relying solely on an adhesive mouth.
Distribution & habitat
Direct records come from the Daying River at Yingjiang in Yunnan, China, within the Irrawaddy system. Flowing water is a likely habitat by comparison with relatives, but its precise microhabitat is not established.
Notes
A deep transverse groove separates a lobe at the snout tip. The snout is slightly pointed and the adhesive disc relatively small. Around 34–35 lateral-line scales and 16 scales around the tail base complement the distinctive snout features in identification.
The modified lower lip of the broader group aids attachment in moving water, while jaw margins scrape surfaces. Similar-looking species and complex relationships within Garra mean a broad common label need not refer to the same fish.
