Devario sp. 'purple cypris' 是偶尔出现在观赏鱼贸易中的小型未定种，性情温和，适合与相近体型的安静鱼共同饲养。它曾被广泛误认成 Inlecypris jayarami，身份应以形态特征核对，不能只看标签。

Overview
The small unidentified Devario sp. 'purple cypris' appears only occasionally in trade. Peaceful behavior makes suitably sized gentle companions possible, but identification deserves care: it has often been mislabeled as Inlecypris jayarami.
Aquarium setup
Allow a floor area of at least approximately 75 × 30 cm. Space and arrangement should accommodate a complete group rather than one isolated fish.
Diet & feeding
Insects and larvae are strongly suspected natural prey, not an established complete diet. Captive fish usually accept assorted foods. A quality dry staple can be complemented with regular small live or frozen bloodworms, water fleas, and Artemia.
Behaviour & compatibility
Other small peaceful cyprinids are appropriate candidates. Suitably sized loaches and small catfishes can occupy lower areas, while some small freshwater gobies and shrimp may also work. Match the needs of each proposed companion.
Keep at least eight to ten individuals. Grouping reduces nervousness and produces more natural behavior, while males display stronger color during courtship competition. Peaceful behavior is no reason to isolate a single specimen.
Sexual dimorphism
Mature females are expected to be slightly larger, fuller in the abdomen, and less colorful. These tendencies should not be used as dependable juvenile sexing criteria.
Notes
Typical features include absent barbels, a blunt rounded snout, a complete lateral line, and about nine or ten flank bars that enlarge toward the tail. Fin stripes are absent. In the often-confused Inlecypris jayarami, roughly twelve or thirteen bars shrink toward the rear and the head is more pointed. Anal-fin ray counts also differ: about twelve in this unidentified form compared with fifteen or sixteen in the other fish.
