概述
Crossocheilus burmanicus 是缅甸及邻近地区的溪流鲤科鱼，会在浸水石木表面啃食生物膜。体侧深色条纹不到尾鳍中，是区别于一些以“暹罗食藻鱼”出售的近似鱼的线索。
分布与栖息地
原产缅甸，以及印度东北部、泰国西部汇入伊洛瓦底江和萨尔温江的河流。
生活在流水溪流和支流中，底部有大石、卵石、砂砾，部分地点散布沉木和树根。水常清澈而浅，阳光能促进浸水表面的生物膜生长，供鱼啃食。
饲养环境
至少提供 150 × 45 cm 的缸底空间。其自然环境以清澈流水和石木表面为主要特征，安排环境时应为它保留接触这些附着食物表面的机会。
食性与喂食
同属鱼的天然刮食内容包括藻类、硅藻及伴生微生物。喂食建议以含螺旋藻等植物成分的干粮搭配新鲜植物性食物，如去壳豌豆、烫软西葫芦、菠菜和切碎水果。

Overview
A stream cyprinid from Myanmar and neighboring regions, Crossocheilus burmanicus browses biofilm from submerged surfaces. Its dark side stripe stops before entering the tail fin, offering a useful distinction from some fishes marketed as Siamese algae eaters.
Distribution & habitat
The range covers Myanmar and rivers of northeastern India and western Thailand belonging to the Irrawaddy and Salween systems.
Flowing streams and tributaries have beds of boulders, pebbles, gravel, and sand, sometimes with submerged wood and roots. Clear, often shallow water admits light that supports the surface growth used by the fish.
Aquarium setup
A footprint of at least 150 by 45 cm is recommended. Flowing water and accessible submerged surfaces characterize its natural setting, so retain opportunities to browse suitable rock and wood surfaces when arranging the aquarium.
Diet & feeding
The grazing diet described for the genus includes algae, diatoms, and associated microorganisms. Feeding recommendations emphasize vegetable-containing dry products, such as spirulina foods, alongside shelled peas, softened zucchini, spinach, and chopped fruit.
Avoid prolonged heavy use of high-protein foods. Settled individuals may rise into midwater at feeding time as well as browse surface growth on rocks.
Notes
A stripe ending before the caudal fin is useful but does not constitute a complete identification. Similar appearance among algae-eating fishes should not be taken to mean that all trade labels refer to the same species.
