可参考 120 × 45 × 45 厘米。砂底、光滑石块和沉木作遮蔽，留出大量游动空间；水草可用，但取叶上食物时可能留下咬痕。使用海盐把比重维持在至少 1.005，规律部分换水，避免水质恶化。
食性与喂食
可提供贝类、蠕虫及适口活冷冻饵，定期喂带壳螺、蟹足、虾等以磨耗持续生长的喙齿。维持齿板长度需要有规律的硬质食物，不能只喂柔软肉类。
习性与混养
应单养，喙状口能够咬掉其他鱼的肉，严重时造成致命伤，对同种也高度不宽容。极大空间和快速伙伴仍不能消除这种风险。

Overview
An estuarine puffer, Xenopterus naritus requires a saline setup despite sometimes being described or sold as freshwater. It is aggressive toward both conspecifics and other fish. Interaction with a keeper does not imply tolerance of aquarium companions.
Distribution & habitat
It occurs in China, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, occupying medium to large estuarine rivers and their tributaries under brackish or marine conditions.
Aquarium setup
The suggested reference is a 120 by 45 by 45 cm aquarium. Sand, smooth rocks, and wood provide cover while leaving extensive swimming space. Plants are possible, though feeding from leaves may leave damage. Marine salt should provide a specific gravity of at least 1.005, with regular partial changes maintaining water quality.
Diet & feeding
Offer suitable shellfish, worms, and other live or frozen foods, regularly including shell-on snails and hard-shelled portions. Continually growing dental plates require wear; soft foods alone do not meet that need.
Behaviour & compatibility
Keep it alone. The beak can inflict deep or fatal injuries, and conspecific aggression is also pronounced. Even a huge aquarium with fast companions does not remove the risk.
Notes
Confusion with smaller, similar-looking freshwater puffers may explain conflicting care descriptions. Establish species identity before choosing water conditions instead of relying on a broad golden-puffer trade label.
