食性与喂食
可提供合口干粮，但不宜单独作为全部食谱，日常搭配水蚤、丰年虾、红虫等小型活冷冻食物。属内食性通常偏重小动物，但不能把这种概括当作已量化的本种野外食谱。
习性与混养
同环境、温和的开阔水域鲤科小鱼可能是较好的候选伙伴，部分耐流底栖鱼也可考虑。外形相近的其他鳅可能强领地或好斗，即使在大缸尝试也需谨慎观察。

Known from the Daying River in Yunnan, Schistura yingjiangensis is a little-documented aquarium subject. A well-oxygenated stream-style setup offers a starting point, while compatibility and sexing expectations need cautious application rather than automatic transfer from other loaches.

The known range is the Daying River in Yingjiang County, Yunnan, China, within the Irrawaddy drainage.
Aquarium setup
Use a footprint of at least 80 by 30 cm. Combine sand, fine gravel, and varied rounded rocks with branches that create shade and interrupted sightlines. Hardy attached plants can be included. High oxygen and circulation are more useful than indiscriminate torrent-like flow. Filtration, aeration, and weekly changes around 30–50% provide a practical maintenance approach.
Diet & feeding
Offer appropriately sized prepared food together with daily small live or frozen invertebrates. Water fleas, brine shrimp, and insect larvae are useful options. The genus generally favors small animal prey, but that broad pattern is not a quantified wild diet for this particular species.
Behaviour & compatibility
Peaceful open-water cyprinids from compatible habitats are likely companion candidates, with some current-loving bottom fishes also possible. Similar-looking loaches can be territorial or aggressive, so even spacious mixed arrangements need careful observation.
Sexual dimorphism
Adult females may be slightly larger and heavier-bodied. Male flaps or modified pectoral rays seen in related species should not be assumed reliable here.
