Schistura sp. 3 是未定身份的条鳅，体侧约九道较规则暗带贯穿上下，背鳍前基部另有暗斑。它曾以其他种名出售，但这些可见特征并不吻合，饲养和记录时应保留暂定编号。

Overview
Unidentified Schistura sp. 3 shows about nine regular bars across the full depth of the body and a dark mark at the front dorsal base. These features conflict with a name previously used in trade, making the provisional identifier useful.
Distribution & habitat
The native range is unknown. Northern India is the presumed export source, without a confirmed river or watershed.
Aquarium setup
Arrange sand, fine gravel, mixed rocks, and worn boulders as a stream, with branches creating retreats, shade, and interrupted sight lines. Robust attached plants are suitable options.
Keep the water clean, oxygen-rich, and moving, using filtration, pumps, or aeration as needed. Torrent conditions are not essential. Weekly changes of roughly 30–50% help prevent organic waste accumulation.
Diet & feeding
Small insects, worms, crustaceans, and other tiny animals are probable natural foods, with relatively little plant material or detritus. Combine suitable dry products with daily small live or frozen foods.

Reproduction is unrecorded.
Notes
Several barred loaches from northern India have confused identities. Regular full-depth bars and the front dorsal-base spot challenge the former trade identification, but do not establish a different named species.
