Distribution & habitat
It is reportedly exported from Laos, but an export origin is not a verified native locality. No more precise watershed is confirmed.
Aquarium setup
Use mixed rocks, sand, fine gravel, and worn boulders, with branches providing crevices, shade, and visually separated retreats. Tough attached plants may work where delicate vegetation does not.
Extreme current is unnecessary, but maintain high oxygen and some movement through suitable filtration, pumps, or aeration. Prevent organic waste buildup with routine weekly changes of roughly 30–50%.
Diet & feeding
Its natural diet probably centers on tiny insects, worms, crustaceans, and other small animals, with limited plant material or detritus. Suitable dry food is accepted, supplemented daily with small live or frozen foods.
