多鳞条鳅（Schistura schultzi）体侧有多道较细暗纹，缸内行为和贸易情况尚不清楚。它看起来较强健，但不能由此推定与任何鱼都能混养；慢游、长鳍和特别温顺的同伴应避开。
分布与栖息地
确认记录主要来自泰国北部清莱和黎府的湄公河支流，楠河水系和老挝博胶省的分布仍带不确定性，完整范围尚未厘清。
可能栖息于浅而狭窄的支溪，水流清洁富氧，底部为砂、砾石或石块。这一微栖地描述属于推测，不应扩大成所有产地都已调查确认。
饲养环境
可采用流水河床布局，混合细砂、砂砾及大小圆石，沉木枝条形成洞隙、阴影和视线屏障，附生水草可增加遮挡。充足溶氧和适度水流比模拟强烈激流更重要。
维持有效过滤，规律每周部分换水，防止有机污染积累；没有完整饲养记录时，更应重视实际个体的适应和摄食情况。
食性与喂食
同属鳅通常摄食以小型动物为主、兼有少量植物和碎屑的食物。人工可尝试适口干饲料并配每日的小型活饵或冷冻饵料，例如水蚤、丰年虾和红虫，不应单靠干粮。
习性与混养
具体缸内行为未知，不能按同属某一种的性情下结论。慢游、长鳍或特别温顺的鱼不建议搭配，其余组合也需谨慎观察，不把体形强健当成兼容保证。
雌雄区分
尚无可靠外观鉴别，成熟雌鱼可能更圆，抱卵时更明显。这个推测不能代替确定性别特征。
补充说明
体侧约十三至十八道较窄的暗纹，前半身可能不太清晰，侧线完整或接近完整。不同描述对尾鳍基部上方是否有眼斑存在分歧，因此不宜单用这一点辨认。水族繁殖尚无记录。

Overview
Schistura schultzi is a finely barred loach with poorly documented aquarium behavior and trade history. It appears robust, but this does not establish compatibility with other fishes. Slow, long-finned, or very placid companions are inadvisable.
Distribution & habitat
Confirmed records mainly concern Mekong tributaries in northern Thailand. Occurrence in the Nan system and Laos's Bokeo province remains uncertain, and the full range is unresolved.
Shallow, narrow stream branches with oxygen-rich flow over sand, gravel, or stones are considered likely habitat rather than a fully verified account for all populations.
Aquarium setup
A river-style layout can combine sand, gravel, smooth stones, and branches that provide shaded gaps and visual barriers. Hardy attached plants add cover. Good oxygenation and appropriate circulation are more important than recreating a violent torrent.
Maintain effective filtration and regular weekly partial changes to limit organic pollution. With little established aquarium experience, observe actual settling and feeding carefully.
Diet & feeding
The genus is described as consuming mainly small animal prey, with lesser plant material and detritus. Suitable captive offerings include appropriate dry products combined with daily small live or frozen foods such as water fleas, brine shrimp, and bloodworms.
Behaviour & compatibility
Specific aquarium behavior is unknown. Temperament should not be borrowed from a familiar congener. Avoid slow fishes and those with flowing fins or exceptionally placid habits; other combinations also need cautious observation.
Sexual dimorphism
A reliable external distinction is not known. Mature females may be rounder, particularly when carrying eggs, but this remains a tentative clue.
Notes
About thirteen to eighteen narrow dark bars and a complete or nearly complete lateral line are identification features. Different descriptions disagree about an eye-like mark high on the tail base, so that feature alone is unreliable. Aquarium breeding is unrecorded.
