大缸中可群养，但每条鱼都应有自己的藏身处。它主要承担混养群落中的底层空间，应把这些躲藏位置一并纳入布局。

雄鱼臀鳍前方具有较长的生殖突。

Overview
Rita kuturnee is a robust but relatively peaceful catfish that can live with larger fishes. Small companions will be eaten. Its uncommon appearance in aquarium commerce does not make the broad description peaceful bottom fish sufficient for choosing any community.
Distribution & habitat
It comes from large river systems in India.
Aquarium setup
A base around 120 × 30 cm is a minimum reference, with more space preferable. Decorative style is flexible, but retreats are necessary. Wood shelters, pots, or pipes can be used. Floating cover reduces illumination at the bottom and may encourage more visible activity.
Diet & feeding
Most appropriately sized live, frozen, and dry foods are accepted. Keep the menu varied rather than relying on one item.
Behaviour & compatibility
Larger barbs, sturdy cichlids, and suitably sized loricariids are potential companions, provided they cannot be swallowed. Small fishes will be consumed; the absence of constant chasing does not establish safety.
Groups can be maintained in larger aquariums, with a separate refuge for every fish. As a bottom-dwelling member of the community, its shelter requirements should be included when planning the available floor space.
Sexual dimorphism
Males possess an elongated genital papilla immediately before the anal fin.
Notes
Members of this genus are infrequently encountered in the hobby. Accurate identity and room for the adult are more reliable guides than general expectations about aquarium catfishes.
