分布与栖息地
确认分布包括委内瑞拉亚马孙州阿亚库乔港一带的奥里诺科河中游支流，以及哥伦比亚梅塔河下游。梅塔河更上游、比亚维森西奥附近也有报告，但尚不能把这些扩展记录视为完全确认。
饲养环境
最低应考虑缸长 120 cm 的底部空间，繁殖安排中需要洞穴。
雌雄区分
成年雄鱼胸鳍前缘鳍条及身体后段有小齿状突起，雌鱼没有。俯视时雄鱼更修长，雌鱼更粗壮饱满。

Overview
Known by the trade number L147, this Peckoltia has been bred repeatedly in aquaria. It uses caves for spawning and male brood care. Body-shape differences between the sexes are particularly useful when viewed from above.
Distribution & habitat
Confirmed records span middle Orinoco tributaries around Puerto Ayacucho in Venezuela and the lower Meta in Colombia. Reports from much farther upstream near Villavicencio suggest a wider Meta range, but remain less certain.
Aquarium setup
An aquarium at least 120 cm long is the stated minimum, with cave provision relevant to breeding.
Sexual dimorphism
Males develop small odontodes on the leading pectoral rays and rear body. Females lack these and look stockier from above, while males are more slender.
Breeding
Repeated captive spawning is established. Eggs are deposited in caves, with the male responsible for the brood.
