缸长至少约 120 cm、容积约 108 L。深色底床有助减轻紧张，部分区域密植水草，配合浮水遮蔽、石块及沉木。它是淡水鱼，不需例行加盐。
食性与喂食
天然捕食性明显。虽然通常能接受干粮，干粮不宜作为食谱基础。可用小蚯蚓、红虫等活饵，搭配冷冻虾、红虫和丰年虾。
习性与混养
任何足够小的同伴都可能被吞食，应选择体型较大的相容鱼，例如适宜的丝足鲈、中型鲤科鱼或彩虹鱼，同时核对水质需求。
它有群居需求，至少维持 6 条较合适，空间应能容纳整个成年群体。

繁殖
尚无可靠的人工繁殖记录。繁殖方式可能类似兰副双边鱼（Chanda ranga），但目前不宜将后者的详细流程直接当成本种的确定方法。

Overview
Larger and more predatory than familiar small glassfishes, Parambassis wolffii needs group accommodation in a relatively long tank. Small companions are prey; translucent appearance does not make it a harmless miniature community fish.
Distribution & habitat
Native waters lie in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Slow or standing waters, including floodplains, provide habitat. It is common and used for food locally, although aquarium imports are infrequent.
Aquarium setup
Provide at least about 120 cm of tank length and 108 L. Dark substrate helps confidence, with planted sections, floating vegetation, stones, and wood giving cover. Routine salt addition is unnecessary for this freshwater species.
Diet & feeding
It is naturally predatory. Dry food may be accepted, but should not form the staple. Offer small earthworms and bloodworms, alongside frozen shrimp, bloodworms, and Artemia.
Behaviour & compatibility
Companions small enough to swallow are unsuitable. Larger compatible gouramis, medium-sized cyprinids, or rainbowfishes are possibilities where water requirements match.
Maintain at least six, providing room for the entire adult group rather than assessing space for one fish alone.
Sexual dimorphism
Reliable external distinctions are not established. A mature ripe female may become fuller in the abdomen.
Breeding
Reliable captive breeding records are lacking. Similarity to Chanda ranga has been proposed, but its detailed spawning procedure should not be treated as verified for this species.
