概述
Pangio sp. 'PAN02' 是上半身深色、下半身偏白的未定种小鳅。它与一些全身褐色的鱼一起流通，可能只是同一种的不同色型，尚不能单凭双色外观定种。
分布与栖息地
原生分布未知，曾记录的个体购自德国水族店，购买地点并不是原产地。可参考同属鱼常见的遮阴缓水环境：浅森林溪流、沼泽、牛轭湖和回水，底部多泥、砂、根枝或落叶。属内既有黑水栖息者，也有清水种群，PAN02 的具体野外条件仍未确认。
饲养环境
建议底面积至少约 60 × 30 cm。柔软砂底很重要，它会钻掘并把身体埋入其中；粗砾可能损伤身体或阻碍觅食。用根枝、沉木和落叶增加阴影与藏身点，可配适应弱光的莫丝、铁皇冠或椒草类植物。
避免强流，温和过滤与轻微水面扰动即可。进水口防护和严密缸盖同样重要，新鱼适应阶段尤其留意逃逸。
食性与喂食
可能主要从底质中筛取微小动物，也可能附带摄入有机碎屑及猎物肠内植物成分。可喂适口沉底干粮，配合水蚤、丰年虾、红虫、微虫和小型白线虫等活饵或冻饵，避免只使用一种食物。
习性与混养
建议至少五至六条同种相伴，提供可共同休息的隐蔽位置。同属鳅通常温和，适合环境要求相近的小型安静伙伴；过度争食、好斗或领域性强的底部鱼不合适。卵或仔鱼可能被近亲捕食。
雌雄区分
雌鱼成年后通常稍大、体形更厚实；雄鱼第一胸鳍条可见分叉和加粗。
补充说明
PAN02 可能与同批褐色鱼属于同一物种的看法来自未发表分析，仍需保留不确定性。它也因背暗腹白而被认为可能与 Pangio alcoides 有关，但相似花纹不等于已完成鉴定。移动时留意眼下棘，避免挂网。

Overview
Pangio sp. 'PAN02' is an unidentified small loach with a dark upper body and pale lower half. It occurs in trade alongside uniformly brown fish and may be a color variant of the same species. The two-tone appearance alone cannot settle identification.
Distribution & habitat
Its native range is unknown. Recorded specimens were bought in a German aquarium shop, which establishes a purchase location rather than an origin. Relatives commonly use shaded slow water in shallow forest streams, swamps, oxbows, and backwaters, over mud, sand, roots, or leaves. Both blackwater and clear-water populations occur within the genus; PAN02's own wild conditions remain unconfirmed.
Aquarium setup
Allow at least about 60 × 30 cm. Soft sand is important because the fish dig and bury themselves; coarse gravel may injure them or obstruct feeding. Roots, wood, and leaves create shade and hiding places. Mosses, Java fern, or crypts can be used under low light.
Avoid forceful currents. Gentle filtration and slight surface agitation are sufficient. Protect filter intakes and fit a tight cover, paying particular attention while new fish settle.
Diet & feeding
It probably extracts tiny animal prey from substrate and may incidentally ingest detritus or plant matter inside prey. Offer appropriately sized sinking dry foods with live or frozen Daphnia, brine shrimp, bloodworms, microworms, and small grindal worms instead of relying on one food.
Behaviour & compatibility
Keep at least five or six conspecifics with refuges they can share. Related loaches are generally peaceful and suit small quiet companions with similar needs. Exclude aggressive, territorial, or excessively competitive bottom dwellers. Eggs or fry may be eaten by relatives.
Sexual dimorphism
Adult females are generally slightly larger and fuller. Males show visible branching and thickening of the first pectoral-fin ray.
Notes
The suggestion that PAN02 and accompanying brown fish are one species comes from unpublished analysis and remains provisional. A possible relationship with Pangio alcoides is also suggested by the dark back and white underside, but similar markings do not establish identity. Handle carefully because the eye spines can snag nets.
