概述
白鳠（Mystus leucophasis）虽然中文名含“白”，整体却呈黑色，且大部分时间倒着游。它成鱼较大，会吃小鱼，通常也不容忍同种，不能当作小型温和的倒游鲶放入普通混养缸。
分布与栖息地
原生于缅甸河流。
饲养环境
底面积至少约 120 × 60 cm。造景形式并非重点，但必须给它能固定占用的藏身处，侧放的大花盆或口径合适的管道都可使用。
食性与喂食
多数活饵、冷冻饵及干饲料都能接受，保持多样化投喂，不必将容易开口等同于只喂一种食物。
习性与混养
个体间性情有差异，部分会表现出领域性和攻击性；小鱼会被捕食，慢游缸友也可能受骚扰。较活跃的大型鲃类或体格合适的慈鲷是较值得考虑的候选，但需结合实际个体评估。
通常只养一条，同种往往不相容，除非有非常大的空间。不要因幼鱼体形小就忽略这种限制。
雌雄区分
雄鱼臀鳍前有明显生殖突。完全成熟的雌鱼体形更大，身体也更圆。
繁殖
已有商业养殖繁殖，但普通水族箱内自然繁殖尚未被认为得到实现，不能将前者等同于可直接复制的家庭流程。
补充说明
容易因倒游姿态而被误认为较小的非洲倒游鲶，但本种全身黑色，没有那类鱼的褐色和腹背反差。大鱼体侧可能有浅色碎斑，整体仍偏暗。正确鉴种直接影响成鱼空间和混养安排。

Overview
Mystus leucophasis is a predominantly black catfish that spends most of its time upside down. It grows substantial, eats smaller fish, and usually rejects members of its own species. It should not be treated as a small, peaceful upside-down catfish for a general community.
Distribution & habitat
Its native habitat is rivers in Myanmar.
Aquarium setup
Provide a footprint of approximately 120 × 60 cm or more. Decoration is flexible, but a definite refuge is essential. A large pot on its side or a suitably sized pipe can serve this purpose.
Diet & feeding
Most live, frozen, and dry foods are accepted. Maintain variety rather than interpreting easy feeding as a reason to use only one food.
Behaviour & compatibility
Disposition varies among individuals, with some showing territorial aggression. Small fish will be eaten, and slow companions may be harassed. Active large barbs or suitably robust cichlids are more promising possibilities, subject to the behavior of the particular fish.
Usually keep just one. Conspecific tolerance is poor unless accommodation is very large, and a juvenile's small size should not obscure that limitation.
Sexual dimorphism
Males have a prominent genital papilla before the anal fin. Fully mature females are larger and rounder-bodied.
Breeding
Commercial farms reproduce the species, but ordinary aquarium spawning is not considered established. Farm production should not be interpreted as an easily transferable home-breeding method.
Notes
Its inverted swimming can cause confusion with smaller African upside-down catfishes. This species is uniformly dark rather than brown with contrasting upper and lower coloration. Larger individuals may develop pale flecks on the flanks while retaining an overall black appearance. Correct identification has direct consequences for adult space and compatibility.
