概述
越南鳅（Microcobitis misgurnoides）是体形很小的鳅，吻短而圆，体侧有一列褐色斑块。饲养时要留意食物粒径，环境布置以细沙和遮蔽为起点，多项生态与习性判断仍带有推测性质。
分布与栖息地
最初记录来自越南岘港以南的湖泊，后来在越南中部多个水系发现。也据报分布于老挝东部、长山山脉西侧汇入湄公河的河流。
饲养环境
底面积可参考 45 × 30 厘米。可能更喜欢柔软沙底，石木先放稳再铺沙，确保有遮蔽物；弱光和少量落叶可营造安静环境。溶氧充足时水流强弱可能不太关键，溪流式布局也可尝试。它可能不耐有机废物积累，应使用成熟过滤，每周换水约三至五成。
食性与喂食
野外可能以小型甲壳类、昆虫幼虫等无脊椎动物为食。缸内已能接受干粮，以及丰年虾无节幼体、剑水蚤等活饵或冷冻饵；所有食物都必须足够细小。
习性与混养
似乎有群居倾向，可优先尝试六尾以上同养。温和的中上层群游鱼可能让它更敢活动；底层伙伴应避开领地意识强或攻击性高的种类。对同种及其他鱼的攻击性预计不高，但不宜把这一推测视为无条件保证。
雌雄区分
雌鱼通常稍大而厚实。成熟雄鱼第二根胸鳍鳍条延长，基部有较厚的近椭圆形结构，并有一小段游离部分。
补充说明
下唇分成四个须状突起，体侧斑列与背部较模糊的斑列之间还有不规则斑纹，可辅助辨认。眼下棘可能在受惊时挂网，移动时小心操作。

Overview
A very small loach with a short rounded snout and rows of brown markings, Microcobitis misgurnoides needs food scaled to its mouth. Sand and cover provide a reasonable aquarium starting point, although several aspects of its ecology and behavior remain tentative.
Distribution & habitat
It was described from a lake south of Da Nang and subsequently recorded in several central Vietnamese basins. Reports also place it in eastern Laos, in Mekong tributaries draining the western Annamite range.
Aquarium setup
A 45 by 30 cm footprint is suggested. Soft sand is likely suitable, with securely placed rocks or wood providing cover beneath subdued light; leaves can finish the layout. Provided oxygen is adequate, current may be less critical, and a stream-style aquarium is another possibility. Suspected sensitivity to accumulated waste favors mature filtration and weekly water replacement of roughly 30–50%.
Diet & feeding
Small crustaceans and insect larvae are presumed natural foods. In aquaria it has accepted prepared foods as well as live or frozen Artemia nauplii and Cyclops. Particle size is essential for every food offered.
Behaviour & compatibility
It apparently associates in groups, making six or more a reasonable starting recommendation. Peaceful schooling fishes above it may improve confidence. Avoid aggressive or territorial bottom companions; low aggression is expected, rather than established as an unconditional trait.
Sexual dimorphism
Females tend to be larger and deeper-bodied. In mature males, the second pectoral ray extends and its base bears a thickened, roughly oval structure with a short free section.
Notes
Four barbel-like divisions of the lower lip and irregular markings between flank and dorsal blotch rows assist identification. Subocular spines can become caught in a net when the fish is stressed.
