概述
摩氏光体鮠（Liosomadoras morrowi）是胆怯、夜行的底栖鲶鱼，平时温和但夜间会吃小鱼。布置较暗、有足够躲藏处的大缸，并在熄灯后投喂，才能兼顾它的安全感和进食。

对体形相当的温和鱼通常不凶，但会在夜间吞吃小鱼。选择缸友要同时看成鱼大小和性情，不能把胆小等同于不捕食。
有时会对同种争夺地盘；足够大的缸配上大量掩护可以维持多条，仍需观察躲藏空间是否被个别鱼独占。
雌雄区分
雄鱼臀鳍延长，并用于交接，功能近似卵胎生鱼的交接器，但这不代表它采用相同的繁殖类型。
繁殖
采用体内受精，但缸内成功繁殖尚无确认记录。不能仅凭雄鱼臀鳍结构推断会直接生出幼鱼。
补充说明
容易与同属光体鮠（Liosomadoras oncinus）混淆，摩氏光体鮠的花纹较暗淡。对较大型混养缸而言，它主要占用底层空间，购买时应同时核对体形和花纹。

Overview
Liosomadoras morrowi is a shy, nocturnal bottom-dwelling catfish. Its generally peaceful manner does not prevent it from eating small fishes at night. Subdued light, generous shelter, and feeding after dark are central to successful care.
Distribution & habitat
It comes from Peru's Ucayali drainage, inhabiting both the main river and its tributaries.
Aquarium setup
A single fish needs a footprint around 120 × 30 cm, with larger accommodation for several. Smooth rocks, wood, pipes, and plants tolerant of low light can provide cover. When keeping more than one, increase the number of distinct retreats rather than relying on a single shared shelter.
Diet & feeding
It accepts a variety of foods and especially enjoys live or frozen bloodworms, earthworms, and similar offerings. Sinking dry food is also taken. Feed after lights go out and check that food reaches it; leftovers from daytime community feeding are an unreliable substitute.
Behaviour & compatibility
It is usually placid with similarly sized peaceful fishes but swallows small companions during darkness. Adult size and temperament must both guide selection. Shyness does not imply an absence of predation.
Occasional territorial behavior toward conspecifics can occur. Several may be maintained in a sufficiently large, well-covered aquarium, with attention to whether one individual monopolizes the available retreats.
Sexual dimorphism
Males possess an elongated anal fin used during mating. Its functional similarity to a livebearer's gonopodium does not establish an equivalent reproductive mode.
Breeding
Fertilization is internal, but successful aquarium reproduction remains unconfirmed. The male fin structure alone should not be used to infer that females give birth to free-swimming young.
Notes
It is often mistaken for the brighter-patterned related jaguar catfish. Its duller markings help distinguish it. In a suitable larger community, its principal aquarium space is near the bottom.
