概述
黑带宝丽鱼（Laetacara dorsigera）是一种小型南美慈鲷，标准体长约 3.7 厘米。繁殖时雌雄都能显出鲜明红颊、红鳃盖和红腹，红色表现不应被当作单独的雄性标记。
分布与栖息地
分布于玻利维亚与巴西西部的瓜波雷河，以及巴西南部、巴拉圭、阿根廷的巴拉那水系，另见巴西南里奥格兰德州的乌拉圭河。不同种群花色有所差异；模式产地记为巴拉圭河的维拉马里亚。
食性与喂食
野外可能摄取藻类、有机碎屑、昆虫、蠕虫与小型甲壳动物，但这仍属推测。缸内可用小型活饵和冷冻食物搭配薄片、颗粒，并让部分人工饲料含植物或藻类成分。
繁殖
属于基质产卵类型，双亲共同照顾繁殖过程中的卵与幼鱼。

背鳍中段的暗斑与弓头宝丽鱼及 L. flamannellus 等共有，不能单靠暗斑鉴定。繁殖期显著红色腹部可帮助与弓头宝丽鱼区分；它也没有 L. flamannellus 背鳍斑周围的橙色环。

Overview
At roughly 3.7 cm standard length, Laetacara dorsigera is a small South American cichlid. Both sexes can develop conspicuous red cheeks, gill covers, and bellies during breeding, so that color alone does not identify a male.
Distribution & habitat
The range includes the Guaporé, called Iténez in Bolivia, in Bolivia and western Brazil; the Paraná basin in southern Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina; and the Uruguay River in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul. Color patterns vary among populations. The type locality was recorded at Villa Maria on the Paraguay River.
Diet & feeding
Wild feeding is thought to involve algae, detritus, and small invertebrates. Aquarium meals can combine small live and frozen foods with good-quality flakes or granules, including some with added plant or algal ingredients.
Breeding
This is a substrate-spawning cichlid with care shared by both parents.
Notes
The dark dorsal-fin mark is shared with L. curviceps and L. flamannellus. Breeding coloration helps distinguish it from L. curviceps, while the absence of an orange ring around the dorsal mark separates it from L. flamannellus. Local color variation makes a combination of characters preferable.
