杂色蜥形脂鲤（Iguanodectes variatus）是巴西亚马孙流域的修长型脂鲤，属于蜥形脂鲤科。种名含“多样、杂色”之意。
分布与栖息地
已记录于巴西瓜波雷河、马德拉河、布朗库河、特龙贝塔斯河和乌鲁布河水系。模式产地记为朗多尼亚州瓜波雷河水系、Samuel 上游约 5 km 的 Jatuarana 溪。

蜥形脂鲤属属于蜥形脂鲤科，近缘的 Piabucus 属有较大的胸鳍及明显胸部棱脊，是区分属级形态的线索。该类群过去曾按脂鲤科内的亚科处理，后续系统研究支持单列。
修长身体和牙齿结构是这一类群的重要鉴别特征，但属科层面的外形概括不能代替具体物种识别。

Overview
Iguanodectes variatus is an elongated characin from the Brazilian Amazon basin, placed in Iguanodectidae. Its species name refers to variation or variegation.
Distribution & habitat
Records include the Guaporé, Madeira, Branco, Trombetas, and Urubu systems in Brazil. The stated type locality is Jatuarana stream, about 5 km upstream of Samuel, in the Guaporé drainage of Rondônia.
Notes
The related genus Piabucus differs through enlarged pectoral fins and a conspicuous chest ridge. This group was historically treated as a subfamily within Characidae before phylogenetic work supported separate family placement.
Elongated shape and dental structure help characterize the broader lineage, but those general features do not replace identification of an individual species.
