概述
赫氏丽体鱼（Hypselecara temporalis）是可达约 30 厘米的大型南美慈鲷，性情却较平和。适合有足够空间的大型鱼混养缸，不能因为温和就低估其成鱼体积。
分布与栖息地
分布于秘鲁、哥伦比亚、委内瑞拉和巴西，包括乌卡亚利河、亚马孙河、索利蒙伊斯河等水系。通常生活在含泥沙、流速缓慢的河流。
饲养环境
成年雄鱼或已配对的一对至少考虑 120 × 45 × 45 厘米。沙底配大型沉木与平滑圆石较适合，它通常不掘底，因此愿意时可种水草。若为繁殖准备场所，可在缸边竖置合适石板作为潜在产卵面。
食性与喂食
杂食，野外摄食多种无脊椎动物、藻类和植物物质。活饵、冷冻食物与干粮搭配即可形成多样食谱，不宜长期只给一种饲料。

Overview
Reaching roughly thirty centimeters, Hypselecara temporalis needs substantial space despite a comparatively placid disposition. It can suit a carefully arranged community of large fishes when the enclosure matches adult size.
Distribution & habitat
Its range spans parts of Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil, including several major Amazonian rivers. Silty, slow-flowing channels are characteristic habitat.
Aquarium setup
Allow at least 120 by 45 by 45 cm for an adult male or established pair. Sand, substantial wood and smooth stones provide a simple arrangement. Plants can be included because digging is not usual. Upright slate near the sides offers potential spawning surfaces.
Diet & feeding
Wild feeding mixes invertebrates with algae and plant material. A variety of live, frozen and prepared foods is readily accepted in captivity.
Behaviour & compatibility
Suitable substantial cyprinids, characins and catfishes can be considered. Other large South American cichlids require especially roomy housing and compatible water conditions.
