概述
Hyphessobrycon acaciae 是分布范围很窄的小型灯鱼，体侧暗色纵带较醒目。相似条纹在当地其他近似鱼中也存在，因此单看一道黑线不能可靠鉴定。
分布与栖息地
只见于哥伦比亚梅塔省瓜马尔河中上游的小溪及次级支流。瓜马尔河属于梅塔河上游水系，最终汇入奥里诺科河。
补充说明
鉴定还依赖鳍条、鳞片和牙齿等组合特征，而非仅凭外观条纹。性成熟雄鱼的鳍上没有某些近似种具备的骨质钩，因此不能套用“有鳍钩才是成熟雄鱼”的判断。

Overview
A small tetra with a restricted known range, Hyphessobrycon acaciae bears a conspicuous dark lateral band. Several similar regional fishes share that feature, so the stripe alone does not establish identity.
Distribution & habitat
Known sites are streams and minor tributaries of the middle and upper Guamal in Colombia’s Meta Department. The Guamal drains through the upper Meta into the Orinoco system.
Notes
Identification also relies on a combination of fin-ray, scale, and tooth characters. Mature males lack the bony fin hooks found in some similar species, so absence of hooks cannot be used to exclude a mature male.
