概述
Hemibagrus filamentus 是可长至 42 cm 的大型鲿科鱼，在原产地作为食用鱼受到重视，似乎并未进入常见观赏贸易。辨识时可留意较长而窄的头部，以及背鳍鳍条分枝长短不同形成的不整齐边缘。
分布与栖息地
记录来自老挝、柬埔寨和泰国的湄公河中下游水系。栖息于缓流或静水，包括河流主道及湖泊；河流种群通常在雨季向附近被淹没的森林迁移。
食性与喂食
是捕食性鱼类，主要摄食甲壳类及较小鱼。人工环境没有必要依靠活鱼活虾喂养；小型鱼不能被视为安全混养对象。

Overview
Reaching 42 cm, Hemibagrus filamentus is valued as a food fish in its native region and appears absent from normal aquarium trade. A long, narrow head and uneven dorsal-fin outline, produced by unequal ray branches, are useful identifying features.
Distribution & habitat
Records span the middle and lower Mekong in Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. It inhabits slow or still water, including main channels and lakes. River populations generally make local movements into flooded forest during the rainy season.
Diet & feeding
A predator of crustaceans and smaller fishes, it does not need live prey in captivity. Small fishes should consequently be regarded as potential food rather than safe companions.
Notes
Several relatives share a broadly similar appearance. A flat interorbital region, a short gap between dorsal and adipose fins, and dorsal rays extending past the adipose-fin origin provide additional clues for identification.
