Cyprinodon julimes 仅知来自一处极热的地热泉，属于环境非常特殊的小型鳉鱼。头和嘴相对较大、尾柄较短，可作为识别线索。
分布与栖息地
产于墨西哥北部奇瓦瓦州胡利梅斯市、孔乔斯河中游流域的地热泉。泉水自然温度约在 38–48 °C 间波动，这是野外栖地描述，并非已经验证的普通鱼缸控温方案。
饲养环境
一对鱼可用最低建议尺寸，多尾需更大鱼缸或容器。布置水草、产卵拖把等，打断视线并增加掩蔽；使用过滤时可选择不易伤卵或幼鱼的气动海绵形式。照明不特别苛刻，条件适合可让丝状藻生长。

Overview
Known from a single exceptionally hot spring, Cyprinodon julimes occupies an unusual environment. Its relatively large head and mouth and short tail peduncle provide useful identification clues.
Distribution & habitat
Its locality is a geothermal spring in the middle Río Conchos basin, Julimes, Chihuahua, northern Mexico. Natural water temperatures fluctuate around 38–48 °C. These are habitat observations, not a tested temperature recipe for an ordinary aquarium.
Aquarium setup
A pair can use the minimum suggested space, with larger quarters for a group. Plants and spawning mops supply cover and interrupt sightlines. Air-powered sponge filtration is an option that minimizes harm to eggs and young. Lighting is flexible, and filamentous algae can be encouraged.
Diet & feeding
Wild feeding observations include diatoms, cyanobacteria, and small invertebrates, demonstrating both algal and animal food sources.
