概述
黑顶兵鲶（Corydoras acutus）是一种长吻鼠鱼，体侧覆盖骨板。不同产地的外观并不完全相同，有的个体甚至没有醒目的背鳍黑斑，因此不能只凭“黑顶”这一特征辨认。
分布与栖息地
分布于亚马孙河上游的巴西、秘鲁和厄瓜多尔，玻利维亚的分布仍有不确定性。记录包括亚瓦里河、马代拉河水系的阿布纳河，以及纳波河和马拉尼翁河水系的部分支流。
饲养环境
铺细砂较理想，也可使用圆润砾石，但需保持十分洁净。提供适当遮蔽，让鱼能够安静躲藏，其余装饰可按缸内布局安排。
食性与喂食
属于杂食性觅食鱼，可接受下沉干饲料，并搭配红虫、水蚯蚓等小型活饵或冷冻饵。要为它安排足量而多样的食物，不能仅靠其他鱼漏下来的残饵，也不能把它当作免维护的清洁工具。
雌雄区分
雌鱼往往更大，成熟后身形比雄鱼更宽、更圆，怀卵时尤为明显。
补充说明
容易与编号 C024、C077 和 C109 的近似鱼混淆。其中 C024 与 C109 分布明显偏离本种范围；C077 则与本种在阿布纳河共存，目前可用的区别主要是它长得较小，鉴定仍需谨慎。偶尔上浮吞气与肠道辅助呼吸有关。捞取时防止胸鳍硬刺刺伤皮肤；刺基部分泌物可能略带毒性的说法仍带推测性。

Overview
The pointed snout and armored sides of Corydoras acutus accompany a pattern that varies between localities. Despite its blacktop common name, some specimens lack a dark dorsal-fin patch. Identification therefore needs more than the presence or absence of that marking.
Distribution & habitat
Records extend through the upper Amazon in Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador, with occurrence in Bolivia less certain. Named localities include the Yavarí and Abunã rivers and parts of the Napo and Marañón systems. Its broad distribution helps explain some differences in appearance.
Aquarium setup
Use fine sand if possible, or smooth gravel that can be kept thoroughly clean. Include sheltered places where fish can withdraw. Other decorative choices are flexible within those basic requirements.
Diet & feeding
Provide an omnivorous diet with sinking prepared food and suitable small live or frozen items, including bloodworms and aquatic worms. Variety supports condition. Allocate a proper ration to these fish instead of expecting them to live on scraps or perform aquarium cleaning.
Sexual dimorphism
Females generally reach a larger size and become noticeably broader and rounder than males once mature, particularly before spawning.
Notes
Similar fishes carry the aquarium codes C024, C077, and C109. C024 and C109 occur far outside its known range, whereas C077 shares the Abunã with it. Smaller adult size is the main reported distinction for C077, leaving identification uncertain in some cases. Occasional surface gulps are part of intestinal air breathing. Pectoral spines can puncture skin during handling; mildly toxic secretions at their bases have been proposed rather than firmly established.
