斑纹益秀朝鲜鳅（Cobitis pumila）体形较小，体侧暗带少于十条，上体为少量较大竖斑，区别于密布小点的近似种。它的原生范围很窄，环境改造已影响部分地点的种群。
分布与栖息地
韩国特有，仅知西南部白川水系。上世纪九十年代末中游建坝后，部分地点受到影响，水库还引入了外来物种。似偏好浅溪、小河的中快流环境，沙砾和岩块间有岸边植物或局部落叶。
饲养环境
底面积至少参考 60 × 30 厘米，以沙砾、圆石和根木布置。洁净高氧是首要条件，过滤循环量可参考每小时十至十五倍缸水，按需增氧。耐流附生植物可增加遮蔽和藻膜表面；缸须成熟稳定，保持定期部分换水。
食性与喂食
主要捕食摇蚊幼虫及底栖无脊椎动物。下沉干粮配合规律的小型活冷冻饵，维持多样摄食。
习性与混养
可与合适大小的温和溪流鱼搭配，避开强领地底层鱼。群养可参考同属至少四尾的建议，但不要忽视卵或鱼苗被取食的可能。
雌雄区分
雄鱼第一胸鳍鳍条延长，第二条基部有增厚圆盘结构；雌鱼通常更大、更厚实。

Overview
A relatively small Korean loach, Cobitis pumila shows fewer than ten flank bars and a few larger upper-body blotches. These features separate it from a more heavily spotted relative. Its restricted range makes habitat alteration particularly consequential.
Distribution & habitat
It is known only from the Baek drainage in southwestern Korea. A late-1990s dam affected some local populations, and nonnative species were introduced to the reservoir. Shallow streams with moderate or fast flow appear favored, over sand, gravel, and rocks with bankside cover and occasional leaf deposits.
Aquarium setup
Provide at least a 60 by 30 cm base with sand or gravel, rounded rocks, and roots. Clean oxygen-rich water is essential, with suggested circulation near ten to fifteen tank volumes per hour and additional aeration as needed. Hardy attached plants add shelter and surfaces for growth. Establish biological stability before stocking and maintain regular partial changes.
Diet & feeding
Small benthic invertebrates, including midge larvae, dominate its natural diet. Combine sinking prepared foods with regular small live or frozen supplements.
Behaviour & compatibility
Suitably sized peaceful stream fishes are potential companions. Avoid aggressive bottom-dwellers. Genus-level husbandry suggests groups of four or more, while eggs and fry may still be eaten.
Sexual dimorphism
Males have an elongated first pectoral ray and a thickened lamina at the second ray’s base. Females are generally larger and fuller-bodied.
Notes
Identification should combine bar counts and upper-body markings rather than size alone. Movable subocular spines can snag netting.
