概述
阿根廷丽鱼（Cichla orinocensis）虽然在近缘大型丽鱼中相对较小，成鱼仍可达约 60 厘米，绝非普通家庭小缸的选择。它有领地性，会捕食较小伙伴，必须把成鱼空间放在选购之前考虑。
分布与栖息地
原产委内瑞拉和哥伦比亚的奥里诺科河流域，以及巴西尼格罗河。中文名称不能用作产地推断，应以明确流域记录为准。
饲养环境
成鱼至少需要约长 2.44 米、宽 0.91 米、高 0.91 米的空间，混养还要进一步扩大。幼鱼可以暂养较小设施，但必须有明确升级条件。少量大型沉木和结实水草配开阔泳道，外滤或底滤承担高排污负荷，装饰不能挤占游动空间。

攻击性中等并有领地意识，小鱼会被视作食物。极大水体中可尝试同种或合适大型伙伴，仍要观察领地冲突，不能把吞不下等同于一定相容。

Overview
Even as a relatively smaller peacock bass, Cichla orinocensis grows to around sixty centimeters. It needs exceptional long-term housing rather than a conventional small aquarium. Territorial behavior and predation on smaller fishes shape every stocking decision.
Distribution & habitat
Native records are from the Orinoco basin in Venezuela and Colombia and the Negro in Brazil. Identification and origin should follow the species and locality data rather than assumptions based on a common name.
Aquarium setup
Adult accommodation begins at approximately 2.44 m long by 0.91 m wide and high, with more room for companions. Smaller juvenile housing is temporary. A sparse arrangement of substantial wood and robust plants preserves swimming space, while efficient external or sump filtration handles the heavy waste load.
Diet & feeding
Use an animal-based menu appropriate to a fish predator, including shrimp, mussels and suitable fish flesh. Match food size to the fish.
Behaviour & compatibility
Moderate aggression accompanies territorial behavior. Smaller fish will be eaten. Only very large systems make groups or other sizeable companions realistic, and ongoing compatibility still requires attention.
Sexual dimorphism
Mature males are larger and develop a nuchal hump.
