概述
多辐弓背鲶（Brochis multiradiata）有延长吻部和较多背鳍条，成体约 10 厘米，需要较大空间与同种群体。十七至十八根背鳍条是辨认线索之一，但应同时看吻形。
分布与栖息地
原生于厄瓜多尔和秘鲁的亚马逊西北部支流，模式地点在厄瓜多尔纳波河上游的拉加托科查河支流。模式标本采自海拔约 200～250 米；可能像近缘种一样聚集于小支流和回水、牛轭湖等静水处，但栖境细节仍属推测。
饲养环境
至少约 120 × 45 × 45 厘米，细沙配遮蔽为基础。也可用圆滑砾石，但务必保持洁净。
食性与喂食
杂食，可接受下沉干粮与小型活冷冻饵。需专门投喂多样食物，不能单靠其他鱼的残饵。
习性与混养
温和合群，至少六至八尾较合适。
雌雄区分
成熟雌鱼略大，体形更圆且体高更高。
补充说明
其背鳍条数与布氏弓背鲶范围有重叠，因此长吻及整体外观应一起比较。它能辅助呼吸空气，偶尔上浮吞气；胸鳍棘可刺伤，棘基分泌物可能带轻微毒性，搬动时应谨慎。

Overview
An elongated snout and numerous dorsal rays characterize Brochis multiradiata. At about 10 cm, it requires substantial space and a conspecific group. A count of seventeen or eighteen dorsal rays is useful alongside the snout shape.
Distribution & habitat
Its native range includes northwestern Amazon tributaries in Ecuador and Peru. The type locality is a Lagartococha tributary within the upper Napo system, at roughly 200–250 m elevation. Use of small tributaries and quiet backwaters or oxbows is considered likely by comparison with relatives rather than firmly documented.
Aquarium setup
Provide at least about 120 by 45 by 45 cm. Fine sand and suitable shelter form a practical base; rounded gravel can be used if kept scrupulously clean.
Diet & feeding
Offer sinking foods with varied small live or frozen supplements. Direct feeding is necessary for this omnivore; leftover scraps are insufficient.
Behaviour & compatibility
Maintain at least six to eight together to reflect its peaceful, gregarious habits.
Sexual dimorphism
Adult females are slightly larger, rounder, and deeper-bodied.
Notes
Dorsal-ray counts overlap with B. britskii, so consider snout length and overall appearance as well. Occasional air gulps supplement respiration. The pectoral spines can puncture skin, and associated secretions may be mildly toxic, requiring care during transfers.
