分布与栖息地
原生巴西北部与东北部沿海水系，包括巴纳伊巴河流域和塞阿拉州沿海河流。模式产地记为马拉尼昂州维多利亚附近汇入巴纳伊巴河的一条溪流河口。
饲养环境
底面积至少约 60 × 30 厘米。使用细沙，或把圆滑砾石保持十分清洁，并设置遮蔽。它需要稳定、洁净的水，不适合尚未成熟的新缸。
食性与喂食
杂食，能吃下沉干粮和小型活冷冻饵，需主动投喂并保持食物多样。不能只靠其他鱼剩下的碎屑维生。
习性与混养
宜至少四至六尾成群，温和合群的特点应通过同种伙伴体现。

Overview
At roughly 4.5 cm standard length, Aspidoras raimundi is a small social armored catfish. A conspecific group, a clean substrate, and stable mature water form the basis of its care.
Distribution & habitat
Its range covers northern and northeastern Brazilian coastal drainages, including the Parnaíba basin and rivers in Ceará. The type locality was recorded at the mouth of a stream entering the Parnaíba near Victoria in Maranhão.
Aquarium setup
Use at least a 60 by 30 cm footprint. Fine sand is preferable, although clean rounded gravel is suitable. Include shelter and maintain stable water quality; an aquarium with immature biological filtration is unsuitable.
Diet & feeding
As an omnivorous forager, it accepts sinking dry food and small live or frozen items. Feed a varied diet directly rather than treating other fishes’ leftovers as sufficient nutrition.
Behaviour & compatibility
Maintain at least four to six together to accommodate its peaceful, gregarious behavior.
Sexual dimorphism
Mature females tend to be larger and fuller-bodied than males, especially when gravid.
