Overview
Aphyosemion hanneloreae is a killifish associated with the Du Chaillu mountains in southern Gabon. Its locality information centers on Malinga, making provenance more useful than an assumed broad regional distribution.
Distribution & habitat
The type site is Malinga in Gabon's Ngounié province, within the central portion of the Du Chaillu range. The nearby border separates Gabon from the Republic of the Congo.
Occurrence on the Congolese side is considered possible because of that proximity, but it has not been established by the locality account. A confirmed Gabonese record and a potential cross-border extension should therefore remain distinct.
