Aphyosemion erythron 是一种小型鳉鱼，侧身和鱼鳍带有成行红点。种名所含的「红色」之意正与这种花纹有关。
分布与栖息地
本种最初依据赤道几内亚里奥穆尼的材料描述，目前看来可能仅分布于该国西南部。另有采集记录来自阿耶河、埃库库河以及贝尼托河下游水系。
补充说明
正式描述以前，它曾以 Aphyosemion sp. Ecurya 的暂名出现。比对旧记录时，这一名称有助于追溯资料，但不应把暂名视作另一种已经确认的鱼。

Overview
Rows of red markings on the body and fins characterize the small killifish Aphyosemion erythron. The reddish pattern is also reflected in its species name.
Distribution & habitat
The species was described using material from Río Muni in Equatorial Guinea. Known collections suggest a range restricted to the country's southwest, with sites in the Aye and Ecucu drainages as well as the lower Benito system. The proposed endemic status remains qualified.
Notes
Before receiving a formal description, this fish appeared in records as Aphyosemion sp. Ecurya. That provisional label is useful when tracing older material and should be distinguished from a separately confirmed species identity.
