已知范围看来局限于两国边界两侧的沿海平原，包括科鲁普和克罗斯河国家公园。模式产地位于喀麦隆西南部恩迪安河的一处瀑布附近；这一采集位置不等于它必须生活在强烈急流中。

Overview
Aphyosemion bivittatum, the two-banded lyretail, is a killifish from the border region of Cameroon and Nigeria. Two dark lengthwise body bands form its typical pattern and account for the species name.
Distribution & habitat
Its range appears limited to coastal lowlands on both sides of that international boundary, including Korup National Park and Cross River National Park. The type specimen came from near a waterfall on the Ndian in southwestern Cameroon. That collection locality alone does not establish a requirement for powerful aquarium currents.
